2009 Joint Council Adult Adoptee Institute,
Medical Institute and Conference

Hyatt Regency Indianapolis
Wednesday, March 25, 2009 - Saturday, March 28, 2009

- CE Credits -

Joint Council—in co-sponsorship with PsychoEducational Resources (PER)—will be offering up to 27.75 Continuing Education (CE) credits to qualifying attendees at our 2009 Conference.  Please read all of the bullet points below for important information pertaining to CEs.

  • PER has issued a Continuing Education Statement that lists the states and programs through which it offers credits.  It is very important that all CE applicants read this document before paying for CEs to confirm eligibility.

  • Please note that for 2009, Joint Council is unable to offer CEs for psychologists.

  • If you have any questions regarding your qualifications for CE credits, please contact PER at 800-892-9249 or support@per-ce.net.

  • Signing up for CEs is as simple as selecting the relevant box on your Conference Registration form and including the corresponding $25 fee with your registration payment.  The $25 fee is a flat rate per attendee, regardless of the number of CE credits you receive.

  • CE fees will be reimbursed for registrants who cannot attend the Conference, provided they are in keeping with the cancellation/transfer policy at the bottom of this page. Joint Council will not issue CE reimbursements for individuals who are able to attend the Conference.

  • The attached CE Additional Information document includes the following:

      -   event schedule
-
   workshop descriptions and educational objectives
-
target audience and instructional level of each activity
-
   instructor credentials;
-   number of CE credits offered for each activity.

*The event schedule in this document is static; for the most up-to-date information, visit our Conference Schedule/Workshops webpage.

  • The Conference Welcome Reception, An Evening With Alison Larkin, meals without accompanying speakers and daily introductions and closing sessions do not qualify for CE credits.  This information can also be found in the attached CE Additional Information document.

  • Please contact Joelle Ruben, Director of Education & Research, with any special needs, questions or concerns.  Ms. Ruben can be reached at joeller@jcics.org or (703) 535-8045.

Cancellation/Transfer Policy:

If you are unable to attend the conference after registration is completed, please let us know before Friday, March 13, 2009.  At that time, you may:

1.  Transfer your registration to an alternate person from your organization with no penalty

            2.  Receive a refund minus a $100 cancellation fee

Cancellations received after March 13h or conference “no-shows” will not receive a refund or transfer option.
